The Downie/Gallotto forum battle remained just that, a forum battle. Dan got "stuck at work" and could not make the match up against the loud and proud Downie. Too bad, because Dan's team ran all over Downie's team, and we got to see some classic Downie yelling at everyone again. "He makes Spence look like a mute," said Griffin. Jesse Silva had the only goal of the first period as the maroon team minus Gallotto had a 1-0 lead. Greg Zall then went to work scoring 3 times and Steve "I can see the light now" Philbrook cashed in with a pair of his own as the maroon team blew this one open at 8-1. Sub Sean Andrews scored a pair of late goals as the maroon team handed out some Holiday cheer to the struggling and whining light blue team. Game notables: Greg Smith continues his goal a month pace. Rookie Joe Duffy had five points while subbing for Gallotto. Ryan Arrington continued his new number every game streak. Greg Zall's ratio of goals to assists is still nearly 10 to 1. Craig Murray once again is appearing as often as Joe Biden in the final days of the election. Right now Fitzy is still the best goalie in the league. Spencer once again played in his last EMRHL game.
