The Blizzard has a hard time holding leads,
but they have a tougher time erasing leads.
The Black Ice and their subs and sub goalie
grabbed a 3-2 lead after one and then a 7-5 lead after two.
They would pile up 42 shots on Kenny
Plourde en route to an 11-8 win. Not even sub upgrade Steve Fabiano could
help out with the defensive woes on the light blue Blizzard.
"We're in every game, but we're one or two
defensive plays away from glory," said Ray Binky.
Scott Fowler subbed in for Muzz, and after
sucking in the last game as a sub for the Blizzard, Fowler was on fire
with a gaggle of goals for the black team.
"You know there's just such a huge difference
playing with Rizzo than there is playing with Cole or Khan," said a cocky
Fowler. "Rizzo's the only guy that can get me 4 or 5 goals with all my
ribs still broken."
Frosty and Hajen split the net duties for the
Ice, both allowing four goals.
"I thought we'd have a chance when Hajen came
in, but he was better than Frosty I think," said Rich Scanlon. "It's too
bad their actual goalie didn't show up. I own him."
