The Grinches needed goals from just about
everyone to get past the pesky Snowmen and their overrated goalie 8-7 on
the final day of the regular season.
Mike McDonald even had a rare goal, and one of his would be the game
winner for the green team.
"It seemed like every shot we took went
in," said McDonald. "I really don't remember their goalie making a save."
"Yeah I didn't remember one either," said
Snowmen defenseman Ravi Patel.
The orange Snowmen ripped off 4 first
period goals to take a 4-1 lead, but then couldn't manage much
offense, even with Bryan Marshall in the lineup.
They did press for the tying goal, but sub
goalie Fitzy made a couple of nice saves to secure the win.
With the win the Grinches get to play the
might Misfits in the playoffs. "We
got no chance against that team," said Bill St. Pierre.
