Apparently the hecklers were too much for the
Grinches, as the frustrated green team fell to the Black Ice team 12-6.
The Grinches got a huge upgrade when Higgins
subbed in for George LB, but he was about as helpful as Alex Nicolaou in a
passing contest.
After going up 1-0 on a rare Saturday goal by
BSP, the Ice scored three straight to grab a 3-1 lead after one.
Jack Brennan must have been up all night
drinking coffee, as he would score four times in this game, and was going
coast to coast like Rizzo used to.
Speaking of Rizzo, he actually showed up this
week for the Ice and had a mere 5 goals.
"I would have had five too but Wayne wouldn't
pass to me," said Brennan.
Greg Martinez had a goal for the Ice, and then
the tried to suplex Rob VanBuskirk near center ice.
"I just heard the crowd cheering after my goal
and got a bit excited," said Martinez.
The Ice held a slim 5-4 lead after two and
exploded for seven goals in the third. The game ended with a frustrated
BSP getting the worst of an altercation with Rizzo.
