First the bad news, Chris Spuglio got in a car
accident, and will miss a few weeks of hockey. He apparently was hit head
on in Chelsea by an illegal alien. No word yet on if this women is related
to Obama or not.Now the real bad
news. The Blizzard took a 4-1 first period lead, scored four more in the
2nd, but somehow allowed 12
goals in the final two periods to lose 13-9.
Without Scott Fowler in the lineup, the
Icicles managed to score six in the 2nd and six in the 3rd to send most of
the Blizzard players home midway through the third period.
Mark Younkers left the game twice with
injuries, but made sure to accidentally knock out a pane of glass to make
sure nobody else could play either.
"Had I known it was the other goalie in that
net and not my own goalie, I wouldn't have done it," said Younkers.
Moose 2.0 had four of the first six goals for
the Icicles, and that's worse than Murf scoring four goals.
The Blizzard must be made up of Frenchmen,
because they just give up to quickly. They held a slim 8-7 lead heading
into the third, but all seemed to give up at the same time.
Rick Olson did a great job subbing for Spuglio,
missing the net often and not passing on the 2 on 1 breaks.
