After struggling all season and being referred to as the Glen Murray of the Saturday League, Pete Norton was demoted to the Mike Mason line on the Salvation Army. All that the 2nd line did was to score 3 of the 5 Army goals in a tight 5-2 win. "Who would have thought that Pete would lead the team to victory while playing with Mason and Raymond? asked a confused Gardner. The first line of Gardner, Farrell, Fab, and Devin didn't register a point until the third period. Frosty pretty much shut the door on the Army stacked line. "Last week it was Fitzy, the week before Kenny, now Frosty is keeping us off the scoreboard," said Fab. "Now I know how Cole feels when he's shooting on Spencer." The Snowmen meanwhile have Greg Zall, some useless guys, and some real useless guys. Zall had the only goal for them until the teams were getting undressed and Jordache Smith scored with time running out. "I didn't even realized he scored, we were all taking off our skates," said Gardner.
With Rob McHugh only allowing two goals this
week, the Salvation Army upgrade is on hold. The Snowmen though may be
getting some help as early as next week, as not even Sean Sullivan could
help the team this week. |
