"It's 9am and Saturday morning and we need a goalie, beggars can't be choosers," said Bill St. Pierre as Spencer put on the green Grinch goalie jersey. The Blizzard fired 13 shots on Spencer and the sleepy Grinches to take a 4-0 lead after one period. In the 2nd the Grinches closed the gap a bit, as Scott Leyden single-handedly tried to get the green team back in the game. He scored 3 in that period and another in the third while BSP and George LB were still sucking their thumbs. But for the first time this season the Blizzard didn't blow a lead. Rich Scanlon played the game of his life, scoring a goal, assisting on two others, and was key on the penalty kill. "Now I know what Farrell was talking about with this Scanlon guy," said Mike McDonald who couldn't get around Lil Rich. Ernie had a pair of goals for the Blizz, with six individuals scoring the other six. Talk about spreading the wealth around. For BSP, the only comfort he had after going pointless were the two Bruins tickets he had for the Dallas game on Saturday night.
"If I see him on TV, I'm gonna throw my TV out
