Mike Gaff subbed in for Koz and had one assist in the Misfits win over the Grinches. In fact, there were tons of subs in this game with each team missing a goalie and a player or two. Rookie Tyrone Roberts had two goals for the Misfits while wearing Koz's number 89. Scott Fowler had three goals, but we all know Downie would have done the same. Higgins subbed in for George LB, but really, is there any compatible sub for the Mad Russian ? "I would rather have George than Higgins," said BSP after the game. Mike Conley only had one goal, but it was the GW with 4:44 left. "I didn't have Koz in front of the other net," noted Conley. "Having someone firmly planted in their crease gives me a better chance to score." Dave Niemi led the Grinches with a goal and two assists as the Sand Bags were overflowing on the Grinch bench.
