Ray Khan is no Dan Armstrong. The last minute sub for the Wise Men had a pair of goals, but not six like Armstrong usually has. "I'm not here to be Dan's replacement, that's unfair to me," said Ray Khan. "Just like you wouldn't say that Jason Bay was Manny's replacement. Or that Diet Coke replaced Tab." Ironically Ray scored the game's first goal, then faded out like the Patriot's playoff chances when Brady went down. Rick Olson led the way for the Wise Men with a whopping 7 points, so he's probably done for the season. Dennis had one goal, but since he turned into Nice Dennis, he's lost his scoring edge. Either that or after winning the Title last season, he's become complacent. (Look it up) For the winners, Joe Mullen racked up a bunch of goals, as did Chris Mahoney. Gregg Martinez made a super steal and subsequent pass to Mullen for a goal, as the Black Ice were firing on all cylinders, mostly. Jack Brennan had two goals, but they were both pretty lame, and Tim Fox is still nothing but a rumor. The Wise Men probably won't win a game without Armstrong. They sorely missed Murf today, and are still waiting for Pete Paperno's limo to show up on Saturdays.
Neither goalie impressed us with 20 total
goals being scored, but we did see Justin walk out or the rink with a new
pair of goalie skates...hmmm. |
